The neighbours behind this site
About Julemosegård
We are neighbours too
We are Sylvester and Sheila Damgaard, and we live at Julemosegård 27. The website and Facebook group are our unofficial neighbourhood initiative. We run both in our spare time to make it easier to get to know each other and do things together. Everyone is welcome to join in, whether you have a rough idea or just drop by occasionally.
In our spare time, we bring activities together, look after the site and help neighbours turn ideas into something we can share.
Sylvester works professionally in information security, including work relating to SOC 2 and HIPAA. He brings that experience to the website, where respect for your information and attention to security are part of its foundations.
Your idea is welcome
A walk, a swap day, coffee outside or something we have not thought of yet. You do not need a finished plan, and you do not have to organise everything yourself.
We are happy to help spread the word, find interested neighbours and work out a manageable first step. Lending a table, helping on the day or simply turning up is just as welcome.
Tell us what you have in mind.
Why a website too?
Facebook, owned by Meta, works well as a noticeboard for everyday updates and chats. But not everyone uses it. Our website lets us share information in Danish and English, send event updates by email and tailor registrations with options such as the number of adults, children or pumpkins. The two complement each other — you do not need a Facebook profile to take part.
Join in your own way
You can read news and register for events without an account. We email a personal link so you can edit or cancel your registration, and use your email to let you know about changes or cancellations. Creating an account to keep your registrations in one place is entirely optional.
Your profile is private and your house number is optional. When registering for an event, enter the number of participants and the contact details the organiser needs. You do not need Facebook or a newsletter subscription to take part.

There is room for different ways of being a neighbour
Some people join in with everything. Others say hello over the fence or drop by occasionally. Everyone belongs. We hope the site leads to more good conversations and makes it easier to talk things through when something is bothering us.
The website and Facebook group are an unofficial initiative. We help with the social side of life here and speak for ourselves. We do not represent the landlord, property management or a residents’ association. Questions about your tenancy, maintenance or property management belong with your landlord or property manager.
