The marquee collapsed – but the summer party went ahead
A collapsed marquee made for a stressful start to the summer party. We nearly moved into the old farmhouse, but removed a section and held the party in a slightly smaller marquee.
This was certainly not the start to the summer party we had hoped for. The marquee had been put up and was ready, but on Friday morning we were faced with a collapsed tent.
After all the preparations, it was a deeply frustrating and stressful situation. We came close to having to move the entire party indoors to the old farmhouse.
Thankfully, we found a solution: we removed one section and were able to hold the party in a slightly smaller marquee. It made for a hectic few hours, but we still got to gather and enjoy the summer party together.
