Urgent access to heat pump sheds due to ice

February 17, 2026

Ice must be removed from heat pump sheds. LEA explains access, working hours, electricity compensation and caretaker contact details.

Resident notice from LEA Ejendomspartner, 2026-02-17. The notice is translated below. Contact details and personal recipient and account details are omitted.

The notice from LEA

Dear residents of Julemosegård,

Ice has been found in several sheds containing heat pumps. The property service company must urgently remove it to prevent heat pump breakdowns.

Access to the heat pump shed

As the situation is considered urgent, the service company will unlock all sheds to check which are affected. Where ice is found, removal will begin without further notice. Access concerns only the shed containing the heat pump.

LEA states that the work is considered necessary under section 103(3) of the Danish Rent Act. If access is refused and preventable damage subsequently occurs, responsibility may be assigned to the tenant concerned.

Work in affected sheds

The work will include:

  • Running a fan heater for a few hours.
  • Using power tools to remove ice.
  • Temporarily holding the shed door open with sandbags to provide good ventilation.

There will be a small electricity consumption from fan heaters and power tools, for which affected tenants will be compensated. Details will be sent to affected tenants once an overview is available.

Work will take place over the next couple of weeks, Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 17:00. With temperatures remaining low, ice may need to be removed again in some cases.

On behalf of the landlord, thank you for your understanding.
